Hello Stampers!
I have been busy with grandkids and tea cups over the last couple of weeks and so have not been here very much. Sorry. I finally finished the instructions for the tea boutique class and emailed the pdf out along with the kits via snail mail. It really was a fun class, I ended up making 29 samples in addition to the 8 projects made in the class. The collection
really is that versatile. It is now definitely time to put away the tea cups and make some other cards.
Before I share my newest card creation I want to remind you to reserve your spot at Stamp Camp. Friday June 17th 9-1 or Saturday June 18th 9-1. Lots of fun projects in store -no tea cups though :) Camp fee is $25. Contact me to reserve your seat.
Recently I watched a demonstration done by one of the concept artists at Stampin'Up! She created the card samples in the catalog found on page 93 using the Botanical Layers stamp set and patterned vellum. For one of the cards she used the technique where you scribble a few colors of blends onto the back side of the vellum and then using 91% rubbing alcohol you move and blend the colors - creating some very pretty pieces to layer onto a card. I did this awhile ago
at one of my stamp camps. It was fun! Well I may have gone overboard with this card but I really do love how it turned out. This picture does not show the depth in that pool of water.
