Good morning Stampers!

Yesterday UPS was good to me! My first pre-order from the new annual catalog came in. My boxes of catalogs arrive today! I did send out catalogs to all of you who placed orders with me this last catalog year, so watch for those in the mail towards the end of the month- they are coming direct from StampinÚp!.

In my first order I focused on all the color changes- I ordered all the new ink pads, and blends, some assortment packs of card stock and 1 new stamp bundle. Then I sat down to play a bit. Here is my favorite card from yesterday's stamping. 

For this card I used the new Cheerful Daisies bundle,  Blackberry Bliss ink for the outline stamping and greeting, then I used the new Moody Mauve (in-color) blends to color in the petals. The center of the flower was stamped with the new Pecan Pie ink (core color). I masked the large flowers by die cutting the flower die and a few post it pieces- easy! then stamped the smaller flowers both 1st and 2 generation stamping with the Moody Mauve ink pad.

If you have been with SU as long as I have you might think that Moody Mauve sort of looks like the old Perfect Plum and Pale Plum- I think you might be right but it was so long ago I have nothing to compare to.

On a personal note- my surgery has been scheduled for May 22nd and I will be out of commission for a bit and I need to adjust my schedule for next month.

As of right now I think that I will be back up and making cards for my June classes etc. so it is just the one change for May.
