Good morning Stampers!

This weekend has been all about my eldest grandson Max graduating from high school. The ceremony was Friday evening and David and I joined the family for dinner prior- which was a crazy time. Max had misplaced the tickets so most of the time was spent searching - no tickets. Plan B- we sit in the comfort of the living room and stream it live on TV. Plan C - Josh (Max's dad) is faculty at the high school so does not need a ticket and can bring us all in with him. We finally land on plan D- the grandparents all watch it streaming and Josh and Rebecca, Zora, and Max's girlfriend Marian go watch in person. Who knew? It was the perfect balance. All the grandparents had aches and pains and as it turned out -there was standing room only. 

Yesterday I did some baking and cooking for today's grad party. I also made a card for both Max and Marian (she graduated as well although from a different school on Saturday) I decided to make them more or less the same-

I used the Birds Eye View set and Sweet Songbirds for the sentiment. I stamped and cut out the bird on a piece of scrap card stock and did a little water color splat on the punched circle. After the splat dried I stamped the bird again so that I would not have to cut out legs or the tuft at the top of the head on the bird that I cut out. I layered it directly over the one stamped on the circle- even holding the card in your hand you can not tell unless you touch the bird and know there is an edge. 

With a little $$ tucked inside, these will be perfect.

Once everyone came back to the house we got a photo of the grad!

Ok I better get in the kitchen and get the GF Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp made to go along with the Chicken Pasta salad, Brownies and if I get to it, pesto chicken skewers.
